Rinsing for Sensitive Teeth

You’ve been experiencing sharp pain or that unexpected zing feeling in your mouth, on your gums and teeth when you drink hot or cold liquids and have noticed that some of your gums are starting to recede. Because of gum recession, highly sensitive roots may be exposed. Here is how you should modify your rinse routine to adapt to your situation.

Special Considerations For Those With Sensitive Teeth

Acid is rough on all teeth, but even more so when you have sensitive teeth and part of the root is exposed, because acid softens tooth enamel. When eating anything acidic, wait at least 60 minutes before brushing or rinsing. Try and use a straw whenever possible if drinking acidic beverages such as fruit juice or black coffee.
